Regret

by John Khuc

As a kid I always wanted to grow up quickly to enjoy my own freedom in life. However, as we mature and indulge ourselves in financial and decision making liberty, the most valuable trait in us, our innocence would forever be lost.

From being sheltered and protected, we’ve got to learn to be responsible and protective. We could spend our time and money buying things we like and go places we want, but life is never going to be the same as mistakes are made, relationships are destroyed and dreams shatter.

Our greatest fear must be on a fine day in the far future, at the very moment right before drawing our last breathes, we would think to ourselves regretfully “I could have done so much better”.
